Reprivatisation is the realisation of legitimate claims of former property owners and their heirs. It is one of the most important specialisations of our Law Firm. Over the course of several years, conducting several hundred reprivatisation cases, we have amassed a unique knowledge and experience.

We provide complete legal assistance throughout the entire reprivatisation process.

We assess the potential of cases based on regularly changing legislation and case law. We analyse the complex legal status of properties. We conduct extensive searches, including at institutions based outside Poland. We search for heirs, also abroad, and conduct inheritance proceedings.

We represent clients in proceedings before courts, offices and other state authorities, both with regard to real estate and movable property, including in particular property originating from landed estates.

We specialise, among others, in cases:

  • for the non-falling of real estate under the agrarian reform (in particular palace and park complexes),
  • for recovering forests taken over on the basis of the Decree on taking over certain forests for the benefit of the State Treasury,
  • restitution of furnishings of manor houses and palaces, including book collections and archival materials, confiscated during the agrarian reform,
  • restitution of works of art,
  • compensation for damage to palace and park complexes during their possession by the State Treasury,
  • compensation for non-contractual use of the palace and park complexes by the State Treasury,
  • for denial of the German origin of former owners of landed estates,
  • reprivatisation of industrial enterprises,
  • property left behind by Poles forcibly resettled between 1944 and 1952 from territories which belonged to Poland before World War II
  • dead handed property and verification of proceedings before the property commissions,
  • compensation for heirs of shareholders of pre-war companies deleted from the Commercial Register as of 1 January 2016,
  • on the determination of the priority right to acquire agricultural real estate for the heirs of former landowners.
