The Mazovian Voivode has confirmed by a final decision that the heirs of the pre-war owner of a tenement located in the center of Vilnius, on Objazdowa Street, have been awarded compensation for so-called “mienie zabużańskie”. It has just been paid to the eligible persons.
Thanks to archival searches conducted both in Poland and during stays in Vilnius, the Law Office managed to gather extensive documentation on both the property and the owner. Once again, this confirmed the far greater effectiveness of searches conducted in person in Lithuanian archives compared to inquiries made by letter. The documents found made it possible to establish that the testator also owned other real estate, previously unknown to the heirs. The case was handled by attorney Maciej Obrębski and attorney-at-law Roman Gospodarczyk.
